This competition entry for a new
art museum at the University of California
at Santa Barabara seeks to bring the
architectural style of the town into
an otherwise undistinguished and
blandly modernist campus. In wrapping
the building around a new plaza, we are
able to create a significant gathering place
as well as a much needed center of
cultural life on the campus.
